2026.03_2 Release: Absence balances & policies update, Project visible to assigned employees

  • Updated

Overview

This release introduces new features for managing absences and project assignments in CrewCenter Web. Users can now view detailed absence balances, while admins have more control over absence policies and project visibility. These updates improve transparency and simplify absence and project management for all roles.

Managing absences

Roles: Admin, Supervisor| Interface: Web

  • Admins and Supervisors on Web can view how much time off they have taken, what is planned, and what is still available for each absence type when adding new absences.

Admins can:

  • Define absence types that use a yearly balance (for example, “Vacation 2025”).

  • Set limits for allowed time off and assign them to selected employees or groups.

  • Decide if comments for a given absence type are required, optional, or not allowed.

The employee dashboard now features a new widget that displays absence details per user and per type. It highlights the amount of time already taken (before the reference date), planned (after the reference date), pending (not yet approved), available (limit minus taken and planned), and the total limit.

Project Assignment Visibility

Roles: Admin, Supervisor, Employee | Interface: Web, iOS, Android

Certain user roles now have different levels of project visibility. Supervisors and admins can assign employees to specific projects, and employees will only see the projects assigned to them—on both mobile and web. Administrators, however, continue to see all projects.

Project Assignment & Visibility by User Role and Interface:
Role/Interface Web - Project Assignment Web - Project Visibility Web - Timesheet Project Dropdown Mobile (Android&iOS) - Live Mode Mobile (Android&iOS) - Post Mode

How it works on Web:

Open a project, disable the toggle to assign employees, and select the users you want to assign to this project (in bulk or individually).
