Registration and Access for CrewCenter: Roles, Permissions, Platform Availability and password reset

Overview

Roles: Admin, Supervisor, Employee | Interface: Web, Mobile

This article explains how to register, activate, and access CrewCenter across the Web App and Mobile App. 

It is designed for Administrators, Supervisors, and Employees and covers all required steps, role‑based permissions, login requirements, password resets, invitation handling, and troubleshooting.
 
CrewCenter uses an email‑based activation process. Registration begins with an invitation sent by email.

• Administrators receive the first invitation after the subscription or trial is activated.
• Supervisors and Employees receive invitations only after the Administrator adds them in the Web App and grants the appropriate access level (Web, Mobile, or both).
 
Note: No user can log in to CrewCenter until they complete their registration through their personalized invitation link.
 

Administrator Registration

Role: Administrator | Interface: Web
After your CrewCenter subscription or trial is activated, the designated Administrator receives an email invitation.

Steps

  1. Open the registration email sent by CrewCenter.
  2. Select the registration link.
  3. Follow the prompts to create your CrewCenter account.

After Registration

Administrators can:

Supervisor Registration (Mobile Access)

Role: Supervisor | Interface:  Web, Android / iOS
Supervisor cannot self‑register. They only receive an invitation once an Administrator:

• Adds them to the company
• Assigns the Employee role
• Enables Web access and/or Mobile App access
 

Employee Registration (Mobile Access)

Role: Employee  | Interface:  Android / iOS 
Employees cannot self‑register. They only receive an invitation once an Administrator:

• Adds them to the company
• Assigns the Employee role
• Enables Web access and/or Mobile App access

Steps for Employees (if Mobile Access was granted)

  1. Wait for the CrewCenter registration email.
  2. Open the email and select the registration link.
  3. Complete the account setup using your Hilti credentials (email + password).
     
Note: Employees must activate their account via email before they can sign in on the Mobile App or Web App.
 
After Employees are added and granted access by the Admin, they will receive their own registration invitation email. Employees must use the email link to register and activate their CrewCenter account.
 

Employee Registration (No Mobile Access)

Role: Employee  | Interface:  None
Employees that do not have independent access to CrewCenter:
 
  • Time registration for these employees can only be performed by a supervisor or administrator.
  • Employees cannot log in or register time themselves.
  • No mobile or web access is provided to the employee.
     

How to access CrewCenter on the Mobile App

The CrewCenter Mobile App allows you to manage and access information on the go.

Notes

  • Administrators and Supervisors always have Mobile App access by default.

  • Employees need Mobile App access to be granted manually by the Administrator.

Setup Steps

After you downloaded the Mobile App, follow below steps to Login.

  1. Wait for your registration invitation email.

  2. Open the email and follow the link to complete your registration.

  3. Log in using your Hilti credentials. (Your email id + Password).

Notes: 

  • You cannot log in to the Mobile App without completing your email registration first. If you have not received your invitation yet, wait for the email or request a resend from your Administrator.

  • Employees do not have Web App access unless the Administrator explicitly grants it.
     

How to Reset your password 

If you forgot your password and wants to to Reset your password for Hilti credentials, follow below steps:

  1. Go to https://www.hilti.com


     
  2. In web and mobile, click on "Forgot Password" link 

     
  3. Enter your mail ID in the given section and click on Continue.
  4. Once you click on Continue, you will receive the e-mail in you mail from "Hilti". Follow the instruction to set new password.
  5. Click on Confirm after entering your new password.  You will receive a message after new password is successfully generated.
     
This password becomes your login credential for all Hilti digital services.
 

How to access CrewCenter on the Web App

Admins and Supervisors can also access CrewCenter on the Web App. Visit crewcenter.hilti.com. If this is your first time logging in, wait for the registration email and follow the instructions to register.
 

How to resend CrewCenter Invitations

Admins can resend the CrewCenter invitation email to Employees:

  1. Go to the Employee tab.

  2. Open the edit form for the specific employee.

  3. Click "Resend invitation" next to the employee’s email address.

Troubleshooting and Support

If you experience any issues during registration or login:

Didn’t receive the registration email?

  • Check your spam or junk folder.

  • Confirm with your Admin that your email address was entered correctly.

Need a new invitation?

  • Ask your Admin to resend your CrewCenter invitation.
